About The Artist

        Welcome!  My name is Kristen and I'm a self-taught artist and kindergarten teacher who is always on the move between Toronto, London, and Muskoka, ON.  My work varies from house portraits to paintings of roadside coconut stands and I find the most joy in capturing places or moments that are so often overlooked. 

       I was introduced to watercolour and ink methods while working as an au pair and living with an artist in France in the summer of 2016.  While I am often pulled to try new mediums, I always find my way back to my watercolours, which fit perfectly in my backpack on a sunny day.  Whether painting with five year olds or dockside in the summer, I always feel best with a brush in hand.
